I have my doubts about this movie, but this trailer eases a lot of them. The first official trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man was released today by Columbia Pictures, and it gives us glimpses into how Peter Parker becomes our favorite web-slinging hero.
I think Andrew Garfield looks great in the role of Peter Parker; better than I imagined, honestly. I also am enjoying the dark feel of the trailer, which is packed with both action sequences and scenes with some emotional depth. My favorite part is where we’re in first-person as Spider-Man is climbing all over the city. I can only imagine what that will feel like in 3-D. How it will compare to the Toby Maguire Spider-Man has yet to be seen, but it seems off to a promising start!
The Amazing Spider-Man is set to hit theaters on July 3rd, 2012.
