Fantastic news for Lauren Kate’s Fallen fans. Delacorte Press has announced a surprise new book in the series, to be titled Fallen in Love. It is set to release on January 24th, 2012, before Rapture, the final book in the series, comes out in June. The first print fun will be 400,000, which is pretty huge. Delacorte Press will publish an original novel by Lauren Kate that is connected to her internationally bestselling series, Fallen (FallenBooks.com), it was announced today by Beverly Horowitz, the imprint’s publisher. The novel, FALLEN IN LOVE, will be released in the United States and Canada on January 24, 2012, before the fourth and final title in the series, Rapture, is published. FALLEN IN LOVE is a riveting tale told through four intertwined love stories featuring the Fallen characters that fans have grown to know and love: Miles, Shelby, Roland, Arriane, and Luce and Daniel. The book was acquired by Horowitz from Michael Stearns and Ted Malawer of Tinderbox Books. It will be edited by Wendy Loggia, Lauren Kate’s editor at Delacorte.
Since the publication of the first book, Fallen, in December 2009, Kate’s series has become a bona fide smash hit with over 1.7 million copies in print in North America alone.
